ΑΓΑΠΗ - LOVE

Η αγάπη, ω! λέξη μαγική,

γεμάτη νόημα, δύναμη ψυχική.

Είναι το Α και το Ω, η αρχή,

γιατί μονάχα αγάπη ζητά η ψυχή.

 

Μα όταν η αγάπη φεύγει μακριά,

κι’ απ' την καρδιά μας φεύγει γοργά,

Τότε εκείνη ολοένα πονά,

δίχως το φως, γεμάτη σκοτεινιά.

 

Είναι γεμάτη από αγάπη η ψυχή,

μα λείπει εκείνος που κρατά το κλειδί.

Μας λείπει ο ένας, ο μοναδικός,

για να γίνει η αγάπη μας φως.

 

Εσύ λοιπόν, κι εν’ αλήθεια αυτό,

κρατάς το κλειδί, γι' αυτό σ' αγαπώ.

Και τώρα η ψυχή μου βρήκε λιμάνι,

και η αγάπη μας πια δε θα πεθάνει.

LOVE

A word so simple, yet so grand,

a feeling held in heart and hand.

It starts with "A," it ends with "O,"

the Alpha, Omega, so we know.

 

We seek to love, and to be loved,

by feelings deep our hearts are moved.

A powerful pull, a gentle ache,

for the one our soul's yearning can't forsake.

 

For love itself is never gone,

from break of night to early dawn.

But we miss the one, the special one,

whose presence makes our world a sun.

 

The one who holds the key to the heart,

to let rich love freely start.

You hold the key, I feel it's true,

my dearest love, it's you.

Christmas Story!

Christmas Eve Night! A heavy Christmas Eve hung over the world. Outside, the cold cut like a knife through an eerie frost. Inside, the house was equally glacial—a silent freeze that seemed to have sucked all the warmth out of the hearth. An old woman sat alone in her carved wooden rocking chair by the window of the frost-rimed room. She held a family photograph, yellowed by time, clutched in her hands with a sacred intensity. A threadbare, tattered blanket struggled to keep even a flickering warmth within her frail, withered body. Beside her, a lamp blackened by soot and low on oil cast only a faint, yellowish whisper of light into the dense shadows. The old woman gazed with a vacant, unfocused look out the window, her head nodding rhythmically to the motion of the chair. It moved like a steady pendulum, carrying her thoughts far away, beyond the seas and the mountains.
