Της Ψυχής ο Πόνος.

Μια φοβία, μια ανασφάλεια

απ’ του Έρωτα την ζεστή αγκαλιά

την γλυκοστάλακτη ψυχή

μακριά κρατήσανε.

Ένα πείσμα και μια άρνηση

στα σπάργανα τον Έρωτα σκοτώσαν.

Η ψυχή πονεμένη το δάκρυ της χύνει

για το χαμένο ταίρι της.

Soul in pain

The Soul, a landscape etched with fear,

refused the open hand.

Its raw insecurities,

a self-made prison wall,

barred Eros from the threshold,

even as he brought the dawn.

A stiff, unyielding will

strangled the infant god of love.

Now, only pain remains

a lonely Soul

crying out for the ghost of what it lost.

Christmas Story!

Christmas Eve Night! A heavy Christmas Eve hung over the world. Outside, the cold cut like a knife through an eerie frost. Inside, the house was equally glacial—a silent freeze that seemed to have sucked all the warmth out of the hearth. An old woman sat alone in her carved wooden rocking chair by the window of the frost-rimed room. She held a family photograph, yellowed by time, clutched in her hands with a sacred intensity. A threadbare, tattered blanket struggled to keep even a flickering warmth within her frail, withered body. Beside her, a lamp blackened by soot and low on oil cast only a faint, yellowish whisper of light into the dense shadows. The old woman gazed with a vacant, unfocused look out the window, her head nodding rhythmically to the motion of the chair. It moved like a steady pendulum, carrying her thoughts far away, beyond the seas and the mountains. Her weary spirit abandoned her tired body and flew to foreign lands to find her only son, whom she had not seen...
